Welcome to WEROW Life
The Power of Social
We have established a strong presence on social media with an increasing following on Instagram and Facebook. We publish unique & original high-quality images and profiles on a regular basis. We want to be strong on social media so we can generate more interest in our sport and deliver more eyes on your rowing adverts.
We believe that rowing has an image problem generally and that women in rowing are under-represented. We want to present a different side to the sport – one that speaks to dedication, athleticism, sacrifice and inclusiveness whether by coaches, volunteers or athletes.
WANT TO CONTRIBUTE?
Here at WEROW Life we are looking for aspiring journalists with a passion for rowing to join our mission to create the best rowing content on the web. Journalists can write on any topic as long as it is rowing related. Submissions will be moderated by the WEROW Life editor to ensure it meets our standards of balance, integrity and authority. You can read more on our contributor’s page.
FEEDBACK, SUGGESTIONS OR JUST REACHING OUT?
The need for this site started from personal adversity – a back injury forcing the sale of my 12-month-old Empacher but how to sell it? The options weren’t great – a text-based bulletin-board type web service (spam), word of mouth (who you know), an ad in the back of print magazines (time) and eBay (tyre kickers). In the end, my buyer came through a video I made and posted on YouTube but this was far from ideal for a sport involving so many people and such high values. Finding used rowing and sculling boats for sale should be easier. And so in April 2017 Rowing Classifieds was born, and after the usual software splutters we launched with a mix of classified ads, unique editorial and images. In October 2017 we partnered with RowingAdverts to form WEROW, the home of all things rowing on the web.
